Introducing Race-Crib:

Race-Crib is a brand-new competitive boardgame that combines the dynamics of sportscar racing and the ageless enjoyment of Cribbage.

"Full throttle Cribbage    with Crashes"

  • Race-Crib has a perfect blend of strategy, skill, and luck.
  • Race-Crib adds multiple dimensions to Cribbage play enhancing enjoyability.
  • Team Championship play provides the opportunity to develop friendly rivalries between two players or a group of four.

Highlights of Race-Crib

  • Race-Crib is easy to learn. You'll be playing in minutes.  Especially if there is one player familiar with Cribbage in the game.
  • Race-Crib has the potential to provide a lifetime of fun.  Race-Crib can be played again and again. Most games are decided by a point or two and provides endless possibilities for memorable games to be played.
  • Race-Crib has straightforward and internally consistent rules which allow for play that doesn't require endless reference to an overly complex rule book.
  • A complete Race-Crib race requires a reasonable period of time to play, 15 minutes to an hour. A 3 lap race is almost exactly equivalent to a standard Cribbage board lap.  Most players will opt for longer races because of the added strategy of pit timing.
  • Race-Crib play does involve strategy but generally individual turns are quick (measured in seconds, not minutes)
  • Race-Crib will accommodate 2 to 4 players..
  • Race-Crib is distinguished from many board games by it's ability to be played by 2 players repeatedly and remaining enjoyable.
  • The Advanced 2 player 2 Car Team Play option makes the game even better by allowing players to play two Cribbage hands and control two cars each.  This provides even more opportunity for strategic play and fierce rivalries.
  • Race-Crib allows younger players to practice basic addition, learn principles of sets and combinations, and be introduced to odds and probability.
  • For those who have not had the pleasure of playing Cribbage it dates to England in the 1600s. In its most familiar form it involves 2 players, a standard deck of playing cards, and a peg board for keeping score.
  • Scoring is done collectively and out loud which minimized opportunities for errors (or cheating).
  • Those wishing to learn the game of Cribbage quickly, I would recommend an app like "Cribbage Classic" or "Cribbage Pro" to learn the mechanics of the game, scoring, and strategy.
  • While learning Race-Crib it is advisable to play "open handed", that is with all players exposing their hands to each other.  This allows for quicker learning of how to select cards to optimize points and clarify scoring.  Race-Crib is still enjoyable when played "open handed" but most players will quickly want to keep their cards to themselves and increase the intrigue and full enjoyability of the game.

"If you love Cribbage, you will  LOVE this game"   - Willie D.
